Our Work

Bringing Nigeria’s heritage to life, near and far

Artistic Productions & International Tours

NTN mounts 4–6 major productions annually, spanning intimate drama readings to full-scale dance spectacles. Our repertoire has featured everything from contemporary stage adaptations of folktales to avant-garde musical compositions. We’ve taken our work to over 40 countries—including USA, Japan, China, North and South Korea, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, UAE, Mexico and Brazil—building cultural diplomacy and creating hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in the creative-economy sector.

Capacity Building & Outreach

Beyond performance, NTN runs flagship training programmes—actors’ workshops, playwrights’ labs, choreographer masterclasses and the Children’s Creative Station Workshop (CCSW). Each year we empower over 200 practitioners, equipping them with technical skills, confidence and networks. Our “Town & Gown” Drama Project partners with Nigerian universities to mentor student artistes, while national dance and playwriting competitions uncover tomorrow’s stars.

Research & Documentation

Preserving our productions for posterity is a core mandate. We document every show through press reports, photographs, videos, brochures and digital archives—making materials available for scholars, students and arts enthusiasts. Plans are underway to develop a permanent gallery of costumes, props and makeup, and to partner with sister agencies (National Gallery of Art, National Commission for Museums and Monuments) for vintage-play exhibitions.
